What you can expect
- Numeric grades are mandatory on EU projects: drawings and customs entries usually say 1.4301 / 1.4404 rather than 304 / 316L. We print both on the certificate so clearance is not held up for a missing designation.
- Thickness 0.3–60 mm; judged to EN 10088-2 tolerances and finish classes, or tightened to your drawing.
- EN 10204 3.1 certificate as standard; if CE-related documents are needed (pressure equipment), state it in the enquiry.
Frequently asked
Yes. 1.4301 is the EN numeric designation, 304 is the AISI/UNS common name, with the same composition range. 1.4404 corresponds to 316L (not 316).
10088 covers stainless sheet and strip; 10028 covers pressure-vessel steels including stainless grades. Pressure equipment must go through 10028 or PED — tell us the application when requesting a quote.
